The brief
Challenge
A B2B distributor entering francophone West Africa needed to look like an established international supplier to fleet managers, workshops and retail chains — buyers who assess a supplier on credibility and coverage long before price.
What was done
Approach
Bilingual English and French from the first build rather than bolted on later, because in Dakar and Abidjan French is not a translation, it is the language of business. Structured around who is served and where coverage reaches, with two separate routes in: request a price quote, or become a partner. Trade-show presence given its own section, since in this category the exhibition calendar is the sales pipeline.
Decisions
Why it was built this way
01
Bilingual as infrastructure
EN and FR built into the structure, not appended. A French-language buyer who lands on an English page assumes you do not really operate in their market.
02
Two doors, two intents
"Get a price quote" and "Become a partner" are different businesses. A single generic contact form would have collapsed both into neither.
03
Coverage as the credibility claim
For B2B distribution, the question is whether you can actually deliver in-country. Coverage answers it before anyone asks about price.
